Terms of service

Last updated 5 September 2026

What we agree to do, what you agree to do, who owns what, and how either of us ends it.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are between [registered company name and address — to be completed] (“Hualio”, “we”) and the business that has engaged us (“you”). They apply alongside the individual written agreement we make with you, and where the two disagree, that individual agreement wins.

They do not apply to your customers. Someone booking an appointment with your business is dealing with your business, on your terms, not on ours.

2. What we do

We build and run a website for your business with our booking software built into it, or we build that booking into a website you already have. We do the setup — your services, your staff, your rooms, your opening hours — and we keep looking after it for as long as you are with us.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service available and to fix faults promptly. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime figure, and we would rather say so than print a number we have not committed to measuring.

3. What you agree to

To give us accurate information about your business, and to tell us when it changes. To use the service lawfully, and not to use it to send unsolicited marketing, to harass anyone, or to hold data you have no right to hold. To keep your login to yourself, and to tell us promptly if you think someone else has it.

You are responsible for what you and your staff put into the system — including the notes your business writes about its customers, and including honouring the bookings you accept.

4. What it costs

You pay an ongoing fee for the booking software together with a domain and website service fee. The amount, the billing period and what is included are set out in your individual agreement, because what we build and run differs from one business to the next.

There is no published price list, no package to choose between and no per-seat charge. If a fee is going to change, we will agree it with you in advance.

5. We never handle your money

Hualio does not process payments, does not hold funds, and takes no percentage of your takings. Your customers pay you however they pay you today. Because no money moves through us, there is nothing here about refunds of your customers’ payments, chargebacks or money reaching your account — those are between you and your customer, and we have no visibility of them.

Your services can display what they cost so that customers know what they are booking. That is a menu, not a checkout.

6. Who owns what

Your data is yours. Your business details, your services, your customers, your bookings and your notes belong to you. We hold them on your behalf and we do not sell them, share them or market to your customers.

The content of your website is yours. Your photographs, your words and your logo remain yours; you give us permission to use them for the purpose of building and running your site.

The software is ours. The booking platform, and the design system and code behind the sites we build, remain ours. You are licensed to use them for as long as you are a customer.

If we register a domain name on your behalf, it is registered for you and moves with you if you leave.

How we handle personal information is set out separately in our privacy notice.

7. Ending it

Either of us may end the arrangement by giving the notice set out in your individual agreement. There is no exit fee.

When it ends, we will export your businesses, customers, services and bookings in an ordinary open format that you can hand to anyone. We will keep your data for a reasonable period afterwards in case you need it again, and then delete it.

We may suspend the service without notice if it is being used unlawfully, or if leaving it running would put other businesses’ data at risk. We will tell you why, and restore it as soon as the cause is resolved.

8. Liability

We will do our work with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes and governing law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect rather than updating this page quietly.

These terms are governed by [governing law and jurisdiction — to be completed].
